First let me say that I have no connection with Reykjavik Rent a Car other than as a satisfied customer. We encountered very pleasant and friendly staff who were efficient and gave clear information. Everything was as booked and there was no hard sell when I explained I had my own insurances. The car had some damage and scratches on it, which I discovered was actually a bonus. You will understand what I mean if ever you have driven far in Iceland! Believe me when I say you do not want an immaculate, unmarked, high performance new vehicle which shows every tiny bit of damage. The car was perfect for our needs and overall the whole experience was excellent. The prices were the best I could scour from the internet too.

From Google reviews: Un peu de mal à trouver l'agence en sortant de l'aéroport (ayant loupé la navette, j'y suis aller à pied), mais la zone de location de voiture n'est pas si grande. On m'a confier un Dacia Duster 4x4 Diesel (pneus cloutés), et j'ai adoré, un très bon véhicule avec lequel j'ai pu faire le tour de l'ile en toute tranquillité, très bonne conduite, bien qu'un peu rude si vous n'avez pas l'habitude des 4x4. L'état général du véhicule était très bon, et je n'ai eu aucun souci, que ce soit en roulant sous les rafales de vent, la pluie, dans la boue, la neige, sur route gelée... Bref, un bon choix pour pratiquer les routes islandaises de manière sereine.

Everything worked perfect, like explained on the website! I ordered a smaller car but received in the end a SUV all grip which was perfect for Iceland conditions. The transfer bus came in 5 min, I received the car within 10 min, I returned it in 10 minutes, so I was absolutely satisfied.

We had a fantastic trip and the jeep was awesome! The men a the reception was really friendly and nice. Thanks a lot again!

From Google reviews: I rented a Subaru Forester from here for a whole week and was very happy with the car and the service. The car was clean, very reliable, and a had a full tank of gas when I picked it up. The staff helped me understand the rules and situations I would face when driving in Iceland and gave me an information packet with the same information just in case I needed it again. Returning the car was a breeze and the airport offers a shuttle between the business and the terminals. Only recommendation is the airport hours listed here on Google may not reflect the hours the office is open. They are open I believe 4:00am to 11:59pm (From what I remember).

Was given a car (dacia duster) full of scratches on the outside. Interior was not the cleanest as well. No reverse sensor nor in-vehicle rear camera when reversing. Pick-up over the counter was fast.

We are very satisifed with the rental company, they upgraded us from a Grand Vitara to a Jeep Wrangler, which really made the difference. We received several emails regarding weather conditions and they were super nice upon arrival and upon departure. Very good service and very nice fleet of cars! Enjoying a January discount, we got a Duster 4WD for the price of a small car, and quite honestly, I felt much more comfortable going through snow and dirt road with it. Renting was as easy as it can be, and the little extra is the regular weather report they send you in case of rough weather. Great rental !

The man at reception upon my collection of the car is very helpful. He was patient enough to answered all my questions. It happened he was there when I returned the car, and he was the same efficient and friendly. Nice experience!

Good and quick service, nice staff! We encountered some problems low coolant level before Reykjavík and I drove the car directly to head office in Reykjavík and they fixed it right away about less than half an hour! After that,we have no problems during the remaining trip around Iceland, fortunately. Return process was smooth not taking too long. Suggest to take the golden insurance that seems to make everything easy and smoothly going!

We rented a car in February during some nasty storms. I loved the daily weather updates I was receiving via email. Also, the car had studded winter tires which made driving in snow and ice much safer. Thank you!

We rented a Suzuki swift for our trip and it was perfect. This car is easy to drive and we had one modem to stay connected during our trip. It was very useful cause you need GPS to explore Iceland efficiently. The staff was nice and helpful. I recommend this company without hesitations! :) Best regards!

The staff was very helpful at the pick up and the drop off of the vehicle. The vehicle was great. Gave us plenty of room and security while traveling on the roads in Iceland. Fuel consumption was high but I was expecting that due to being a 4 x 4. Make sure to use the discount card for fuel. You will find it with the car keys.It helps with the overall cost of the full. Thank you for your hospitality. I will for sure for rent with you next time I am in Iceland.

We are really happy ! We ordered a Suzuki Jimny, but as it is windy in the winter time, the team gave us a Nissan Qashqai, because the Jimny would have been too dangerous. We did not have to pay anythnig more. The team provided us good advice for the insurance, as we did not take any on the internet. They did not try at any moment to oversell a useless insurance. The team explained us how to reach our destination by the best way, and they gave us information to drive safely around Iceland. When we returned the car, it was stressfull but as we did not hurt the Qashqai, they did not charge anything. They did not try to make us pay for nothing.

My flight was canceled due to a weather conditions in New York. I was able to fly following day While I was still in NY, company rep called me and changes reservation extending for 1 more day, keeping the same price and conditions. Car was in great condition. I had no problem returning it. Highly recommend 'Reykjavik rent a car' !

Location d'un Dacia Duster 4x4 pour 5 jours en hiver. Véhicule parfaitement adapté à toutes les conditions de route avec les pneus cloutés ! Véhicule récent et donné propre. Formalités faciles et personnel souriant et à l'écoute (anglophonie obligatoire...). Seul bémol : il faut comprendre dans l'aéroport qu'il faut prendre un bus-navette pour se rendre à l'agence (ou y aller à pied, ça n'est pas si loin, mais ça n'est pas indiqué non plus...). A recommander !!!!
