Great place, polite staff, reliable cars. On Iceland it's better to rent from local rent-a-car agency such as this one than from more expensive franchise.

This is the only rental company in Iceland I found that allows you to rent a car without a credit card. You just need to buy the platinum insurance (more expensive but at the same time you are covered for everything - zero self risk) and you can use your debit card during booking. The car was very nice, clean and fresh inside (small, but that's what we asked for). All the scratches and any damages were highlighted on the agreement. We picked up the car at Keflavik airport, but we could still use the office in Reykjavik to add an extra driver. The service in both offices was great, we didn't have to wait long, and as it was my first time ever renting a car I was asking a lot of questions which the staff was happy to answer. Definitely would recommend, especially with the platinum package - no need to fear any extra charges to your card. Hopefully I'll return to Iceland at some point and will be happy to use Reykjavik Rent a Car again! :)

We reserved and prepaid for a Toyota RV 4 AWD automatic, but ended with equivalent Ford Kuga new car. Nice staff there although the platinum insurance package a litt bit expensive. But for peace of mind anyway!

We ordered Toyota Rav4 4 wd/Auto, but were offered to take Ford Kuga with a mileage of 4000 km. It was very easy to book the car on-line. It took us just a few minutes to take it at the airport. The staff member was very friendly. After we were done with the documents, we had a nice chat about the places that we could visit. We opted for the full insurance coverage and never saw any problem. When we drove back to the airport, it took us less than five minutes to return the car. We'll definitely recommend this company to whoever is planning to rent a car in Iceland.
