We rented a Suzuki Vitara 4WD automatic (Platinum insurance) with Reikjavik rent a car and the experience was great. The check-in and check-out were really fast (no more than 15 min each), especially the check-in, the fastest I've ever seen. I've rented other cars in other countries and the check-in were really slow and we lost a lot of time in the office, so for me it was important that with this company was so fast. The 24/7 available phone they have for incidences was good, they solved all the needs and questions we had. The car was in good condition, nothing to complain about. I totally recommend this car rental company based in my experience (May 2018)

I checked in internet a lot of rental car companies in Iceland and, in my opinion, if you want a zero risk insurance, this is the best and cheapest one (at least when I was searching in internet in April 2018). I totally recommend this car rental company based in my experience (May 2018)
Smooth renting, great car!...
I rented Subaru Forester for a week from 13-21 April 2018. The car was in great condition. It was very smooth and easy when pick up and drop off the car. I rented with Platinum insurance coverage so it went easy when I return.
Would recommend anyone to rent with Reykavik rent a car!
Car Great, Helpful Staff, but Long Returning Time...
The car is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, I have to give a 3 star because of the car returning experience.
The returning time is long as I have to queue in the same queue with the other customers who are renting cars. The queuing time spent 30 mins but the checking of returning only requires 1 min. This affects quite seriously for me to catch my flight, luckily I can catch it at last.
I suggest to have another queue for returning cars, or to have first priority for returning cars. We always don't know how long the queue is, and customer for returning cars for sure don't want to spend hours in waiting and affect their schedule of catching the flight.

Excellent experience...
First let me say that I have no connection with Reykjavik Rent a Car other than as a satisfied customer. We encountered very pleasant and friendly staff who were efficient and gave clear information. Everything was as booked and there was no hard sell when I explained I had my own insurances. The car had some damage and scratches on it, which I discovered was actually a bonus. You will understand what I mean if ever you have driven far in Iceland! Believe me when I say you do not want an immaculate, unmarked, high performance new vehicle which shows every tiny bit of damage. The car was perfect for our needs and overall the whole experience was excellent. The prices were the best I could scour from the internet too.

Un peu de mal à trouver l'agence en sortant de l'aéroport (ayant loupé la navette, j'y suis aller à pied), mais la zone de location de voiture n'est pas si grande. On m'a confier un Dacia Duster 4x4 Diesel (pneus cloutés), et j'ai adoré, un très bon véhicule avec lequel j'ai pu faire le tour de l'ile en toute tranquillité, très bonne conduite, bien qu'un peu rude si vous n'avez pas l'habitude des 4x4. L'état général du véhicule était très bon, et je n'ai eu aucun souci, que ce soit en roulant sous les rafales de vent, la pluie, dans la boue, la neige, sur route gelée... Bref, un bon choix pour pratiquer les routes islandaises de manière sereine.
