    Reservation was easy and straightforward. I called the Reykjavik office (Kristin? KS)when our flight to Iceland was delayed by one day, and was assure that our car would be held for us. Kristin followed up with a reconfirmation e-mail for the revised pick-up date minutes after the call ended. Check-out was simple. We were given a 2018 Nissan Quashqai 4x4 with less than 3.000 Kilometers in virtually showroom condition. Returning the car 2 weeks later was equally simple. Anita checked the car back in, signed off on the rental form, and we were on our way. I could not have asked for a better experience! Thank you! If we return to Iceland, Reykjavik Rent A Car will definitely be our choice again.

    From Tripadvisor:

    We hired from them on probably 6 or 7 occasions and never had a problem. Their cars a pretty new and therefore likely to be more reliable than cheaper rental companies with older cars.
    We always take all the insurances and staff inspect the car with you on arrival and return and note all damage down. Office is just across from arrivals and they transfer you in a mini bus. I always walk to the terminal Fter I drop the car off.
    Enjoy your trip, be aware it'll be the beginning of winter so be flexible in your plans. Hopefully you have winter driving experience.

    We had a wonderful trip to Iceland in August 2018. We rented the Suzuki Jimny for 7 days and it was exactly what we were expecting. Receiving the car at their Reykjavik office was easy, fast and efficient. We chose a little last minute to add the in-car WIFI (which was an excellent addition for us) and they had no problem accommodating our request. Everyone we spoke with either when receiving or returning the car was pleasant and knowledgeable. We would not hesitate to rent from them again.

    Just came back from my road trip in Iceland two days ago. My car rental experience was smooth. Before the trip I reserved a VW Polo online, upon arrival I was given a Hyundai I20 with mileage over 122K, there were quite a few scratches here and there on the body and one fairly large stone chip on the windshield. I chose the Platinum insurance coverage for the peace of mind. The tiny car rode well, no issues, good on gas. Will use this company again for sure.
