TERMS

AGE REQUIREMENT AND DRIVERS LICENSE
A full drivers license must have been held for at least 12 months and must
be presented at the start of the rental. Renter must be 20 years of age.

TERMS OF PAYMENT
Normally we charge your credit card the same day you book the car.
If you have a specific wish regarding payment, please inform by email;
rentacar@reykjavikrentacar.is soon after booking.

CREDIT CARD IMPRINT
All rentals are subject to the full rental agreement terms and conditions at
the time of rental. A credit card imprint will be taken at the start of all rentals
for security reasons, even when a voucher covers the cost of the rental. This
credit card imprint may be used to pay all extra charges as extra insurance,
speed and parking fines, damages or any cost due to the rented car as a
result of the renters use of the car.

RENTAL PERIOD
Normally we charge your credit card the same day you book the car.
If you have a specific wish regarding payment, please inform by email
right after booking. The minimum tental period is one day - 24 hours for
rentals picked up and returned to the same location. When the drop-off
time is one hour or more after the pick-up time, it is regarded as a full day.

PICK-UP & DROP-OFF SERVICE
We offer our customers arriving at Keflavik Airport (KEF) a pick-up and
drop-off service, at a normal additional charge. For customers staying at
hotels, guest-houses or other accommodation at the Greater Reykjavik
area we deliver the rental car, free of charge.

DROP-OFF LOCATION
If the car is to be returned to non Reykjavik rent a car location,
please contact our office before between 8-23, 7 days a week in

Taking the car outside of the country is forbidden

CAR TYPES

We reserve the right to substitute vehicles when the reserved car type
is not availble.


FUEL TANK

The rental car will normally have a full tank of fuel.

The car should be returned full !


TAX

Local value added tax (VAT) is 25,5% is included in all prices.


CHILDREN SEATS AND CUSHIONS

In Iceland it is mandatory for young children to travel in safety seats while
in a vehicle. Children seats and cushions are availible if pre-ordered. These
children seats are generally suitable for children from new born to 36 kg.
Cushions are avalible for older kids.


CANCELLATION AND RESERVATION POLICY

In order to guarantee your booking we require a valid credit card number.

Cancellation before the pick up time;

15-6 days before: you pay 40%

5 days before or a no-show: you pay 80%
